DOCTORAL CAPSTONE EXPERIENCE
True T PGH - June 8 - September 10, 2021
True T PGH is an LGBTQIA+ outreach organization located in Bloomfield, a neighborhood of Pittsburgh. True T features an emergency housing program known as Option-U, which temporarily houses nonbinary and transgender individuals experiencing homelessness. I created a program called Operation Occupation to bring an occupation-based structure to the programming already set in place at Option-U. The goal of this program was to help the residents achieve their independent living goals through a series of assessments and intervention sessions that paralleled the OT Process.
